Uncovering Your Vision Needs
An eye exam is how we can effectively measure your vision and diagnose refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Once we understand how your eyes are affected, we can prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct your vision.
Comprehensive eye exams also help us diagnose eye diseases like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Diagnosing and managing eye diseases becomes even more critical as we age.

Why Are Eye Exams Important?
Taking care of your eye health is just as important as looking after your overall health. Beyond the joy of seeing our team for your exam and getting a great-looking new pair of frames, eye exams help us look after your eye health needs.
Your eyes are windows to your health. By closely examining them, we can diagnose high blood pressure, vascular diseases, and diabetes on top of eye diseases and refractive errors.
When Should You Have An Eye Exam?
The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends the following eye exam frequency for adults:
- People aged 20–39 should have an exam every 2 years
- People aged 40–64 should have an exam every 2 years
- People aged 65 & older should have an exam every year
